Nothing is better than Passions.
So, the final installment in 3 Fall TV Shows Relevant To Your Interests, isn't really a fall show, it's a summer series. But technically, so is True Blood, and I love that more than Crocodile Dundee lives Vegemite, so I'm giving this a shot.
It's called The Gates and it's about a normal family who moves to an exclusive gated community, only to find that their neighbors aren't at all who or what they seem to be...
GET MULDER AND SCULLY ON THE MOTHER EFFING CASE!But, I digress.
The Breakdown:
It would seem that Nick Monahan (our story's hero and the town's chief of police), has stumbled upon a neighborhood filled to the brim with VAMPIRES (no word yet as to whether or not they are Daywalkers or members of the Glitterati). Not only that, but there is also a rival WEREWOLF family that has moved into the neighborhood.
So. The. Drama.
Why You Should Watch It:
If nothing else, this show looks like it will be loads of fun. It packs the dramadey aspect of Desperate Housewives in with the hot new Teen Vampire craze while also seeming to be aimed directly at adults, and it ads a dash of wacky fun a la Passions and Supernatural. I would say, if you need a break from (or are jonesing for more) True Blood, and want a more irreverent take on the undead, check it out.
