Many who follow comics will find this to be old news. But, here it is just the same. You want a lady hero that kicks ass? And I mean really kicks ass, like, knock down drag out dislocated jaw missing teeth kicks ass, not like giggle bubble upskirt hypnotize kicks ass. DC is ready to give her to you, in the form of Kathy Kane...the Batwoman.
Kane is a flame haired, no holds barred, lesbian badass. Yes, Lesbian Badass, and it's not played for laughs or hard-ons either, which, unfortunately, is refreshing.
As for the book, the story is dark and the art is gorgeous. I suggest you trot on down to Ye Olde Comic Shoppe and pick yourself up a copy, then maybe we can get some more lady comic heroes that kiss with a fist.
